Linen and traditional Lace work

It mirrored and reflect , reflect the  reflection of what you present at the moment . What  you present is what you represent at least for that  particular   moment. Therefor  it  creates the most  realistic illusion . Fashion photography makes you to believe that  illusion  and provoke emotions  by controlling ,  expanding and squeezing  the volume and frequency of motions of emotions .  Fashion photography Its is not just composing images , its a  combination of  all collaborators on scene and behind the scene .

“Books are not absolutely dead things, but do contain a potency of life in them as to be as active as that soul was whose progeny they are,” wrote John Milton, author of Paradise Lost, in his 1644 book Areopagitica.

Jaffna public library was burnt in 31 May 1981  It  consider as one of the biggest library in South Asia  with  collection of more than 97,000 books and  manuscripts.  Books and manuscripts  are the souse of history and culture of the communities. This is the practices carried out through the ancient history and it continue  today  as a mechanism of  erasing the traces of the communities  and  cultures. Why do we deliberately cleansing the cultures ?

After 39 years of burning the jaffna public library  remembering the Poem  written in Tamil by Prof. M. A. Nuhman, Who was a lecturer at the Jaffna University at that time .

(translation is by S. Pathmanathan )

Murder

Last night

I dreamt

Lord Buddha was shot dead

by the police,

guardians of the law.

His body drenched in blood

on the steps

of the Jaffna Library.

Under cover of darkness

came the ministers,

‘His name is not on our list,

why did you kill him?”

they ask angrily.

“No sirs, no

there was no mistake.

Without killing him

it was impossible

to harm even a fly—

therefore . . . ,” they stammered.

“Alright, then

hide the corpse”

The ministers go back.

The men in civies

dragged the corpse

into the library.

They heaped the books

ninety thousand in all,

and lit the pyre

with the Cikalokavadda Sutta.

Thus the remains

of the Compassionate One

were burned to ashes

along with the Dhammapada.

come along with me baby

Let’s go to the mount Calvary

You can preach your sermon ~The sermon of freedom …

I can be your disciple … disciple of your gospel …

you can be my disciple … disciple of gospel ~ gospel of freedom

come alone with me baby
When everything imperfect ~ only breeze is perfect
~

come alone with me baby …
Lets unveiled our history … is so mystery …

shall remove our mask, which carry the marks of pain

Let’s unveiled our faces
from faith of fake …

Shall walk alone on the path … the path to freedom …

come along with me baby …
to walk alone … on the path of freedom ….

In the middle of the night at the sight of the truth …

I will lit you cigarette ~laid by your side …

pour some wine, from mine ~

till no mine no yours ~ no gospel nor disciple

come alone with me baby

When the breeze blew up when the stars bright up ~

~in the sky of Bakhtiari ~

This waiting is so long …
Perhaps longer than the days and moths and years …
chilled mornings , sunny noons , breezy evenings and clod nights …
whispering all alone … along with silence …
dawn to the dusk dusk to the dawn …
even a loneliest day
dreaming and amazing in every Sundown …
knowingly and not knowingly of our existence !

These Vesak Lanterns …

For those who close their eyes forever all alone in  hospital beds  … even without seen the faces of  their loved ones or  have a word with them or even  to touch their hands last for the lifetime …  lay down in a grave yard  somewhere  without having  a chance to grant  a respectful  religious rituals ….

May their beautiful souls rest in peace ….  May  their souls  shining  brightly somewhere in the space ….
